Bogaziçi Sportsfest

Every year Bogaziçi University has an international Sportsfest in the stadium across the street from our apartment. This year is no different, and the opening ceremonies were tonight. It was kind of cool to watch the teams of university athletes from several different countries – among others, I spotted the flags of Hungary, Macedonia, and the good old U.S. of A. – marching around the track to the thump of a marching band. Also, they had a cool show by a team of guys who play with fire. I caught some on video:



And when the whole thing was over, they released a bunch of balloons, which I caught going past the moon:



So as you see, there is stuff other than Ozan going on in our world. Lesser stuff, but still.
