Our anniversary celebration(s)

As mentioned, yesterday was our sixth wedding anniversary. Thought you might like to see a picture of the éclairs and "6"-candle I so cunningly purchased, so here's the moment we sat down to enjoy them:



In the evening we decided to go to a nice restaurant Meltem knows on the Asian shore of the Bosphorus (here's their website). That sounds far away, but actually we just went down the hill on our side to catch the restaurant's private boat for customers. Complimentary wine was served on board, always a big hit with me:



The restaurant itself is right on the water directly underneath the second bridge (i.e. the one further up the Bosphorus, closer to the Black Sea). The traffic noise therefrom actually isn't as bad as you might think; in fact, it recedes into kind of a background hum and isn't really obtrusive at all. The location makes for nice shots of the setting sun in our fair continent-spanning city:

The food was a bit pricey but utterly fantastic (you do indeed get what you pay for!). So we had a wonderful anniversary dinner; here's to many more!
