The well-tested Yard. Doç.: Coda
Remember how the bureaucracy-happy locals insisted I take a foreign language exam to prove myself worthy of the title of Asst. Prof.? Well, last weekend we got my German test results in the mail, and it seems I got a 90 out of 100. Hah! Hopefully this means I will get not only an office, but a gilded name plate on the door. (Hopefully also a cattle prod to wield on my students, but I digress.)

I was going to ask you why (perhaps I missed it in the blog)you had to take a German exam.
